P.V. Sindhu win the Malaysia Masters Grand Prix Gold

World #12 P.V. Sindhu today won the Malaysia Masters Grand Prix Gold title by beating K. Gilmour of Scotland 21-15, 21-9

20 year old Sindhu who was seeded #3 here, took only 32 minutes to get the better of World #20 K. Gilmour of Scotland. Sindhu took an early lead in the first game at 11-6 and never looked back to clinch the first game 21-15.​ In the second game both players were tied at 5-5. From there on Sindhu brought her attacking game to the fore and raced to an easy 21-9 win. Sindhu, who trains at the Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy in Hyderabad, had earlier won the Malaysia GPG in 2013.

Viren Rasquinha, CEO of OGQ said "Sindhu was in ruthless form today. She has been very consistent throughout the tournament. She was also unbeaten during the PBL. So this has been a great start to 2016 for her."
