About Olympic Gold Quest: OGQ is a private not for profit organization founded by sports legends Geet Sethi and Prakash Padukone with a mission to help Indian athletes win Olympic Gold medals. 14 out of 26 medal winners for India at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics & Paralympics were supported by OGQ. JOB SUMMARY: ELMS Sports Foundation and Foundation for Promotion of Sports and Games has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Sports Authority of India for development of National Centre of Excellence (NCOE)-Boxing, Rohtak. National Centre of Excellence-Boxing is based at Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex, Rohtak where Indian boxers’ train.

We are recruiting for the position of High-Performance Director- NCOE Boxing, Rohtak. The High-Performance Director will lead the High-Performance program for Boxers and play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of strategies to achieve sustainable success for Boxers at NCOE Boxing, Rohtak.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Lead and oversee short- and long-term strategies to ensure the sustained success of Indian Boxers at NCOE- Boxing, Rohtak.
● Plan and monitor the annual calendar for training and competition for Boxers at NCOE, Rohtak, keeping in mind all major competitions and targets for the year.
● Identification of International Boxers/Academies/National federations for training and competitions.
● Create and manage a high-performance team of coaches and support staff, to work closely with athletes, to achieve tangible, realistic, and specific goals.
● Manage and upgrade the talent identification and development programs.
● Develop a smooth transition program: Juniors & Youth to Seniors.
● Provide recommendations on athletes’ induction and weeding out at NCOE- Rohtak.
● Develop injury management and injury prevention procedures with the sports science team.
● Devise a Train the Trainers program to upskill domestic coaches; ensure these coaches get sufficient opportunity to learn and develop from the high-performance team.
● Develop and implement a soft skill curriculum for a more holistic development of athletes, coaches.
● Interact with all necessary stakeholders for achievement of desired activities and results.
● Prepare annual budgetary recommendations for the sport. Ensure the efficient management of activities within the specified budget.
● Oversee the implementation of athlete monitoring/management and relevant technology systems at NCOE- Boxing, Rohtak.
● Develop a repository of boxer’s performance and progression.
● Conduct regular anti-doping awareness programs at NCOE- Boxing, Rohtak.
● Fulfil other relevant roles and responsibilities as designated by competent authorities from time to time.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Master’s degree or above in sport coaching/sport science/general management.
2. Extensive experience of working as Coach/ High Performance Director with Junior Boxers.
3. Demonstrated effective leadership and decision-making skills.
4. Proficient in latest scientific methodology and techniques for sporting development.
5. Sound communication, relationship management and other soft skills. Reasonably Conversant in English (Written and Spoken).
6. Flexible working with different stakeholders and conditions.

DESIREABLE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

1. IBA Star 3 Coach.
2. Understanding of long-term athlete development programs.
3. Preferably has had prior experience as a boxer at international level.

REMUNERATION:

Remuneration will be fixed commensurate with experience and Industry Standards.
